THE MORNING AFTER… by Aunty Grace
How many of you woke up this morning wondering what all the noise about valentine’s day was all about?
Is it over already?
Many have said that valentine’s day is overrated and the noise made about it and money spent on gifts to prove your love on
Valentine s day was just not worth it!
Well how did you spend your valentine’s day and with who?( ok don’t tell me if you don’t want to!)
A friend called me this morning and said “ Grace, I broke up with my boyfriend last night” when I asked why , she went on to tell me how she had gone to great lengths to prepare a surprise ( be careful of those surprises!) for him.
She had booked a restaurant that was well known for their fantastic traditional Thai food( he loves Thai food she said).
She had booked a table for two and chose the only available time of 9pm as they were fully booked. Since he lived a bit far from where she was, she offered to pick him up at 8.30pm so they could”hang out”.
At 8.20pm she told me, he called to say he was stuck in an important client’s meeting and he would meet her wherever she chose , but between 9.30-10pm when he was sure the meeting would be over. She then decided to go to the restaurant so as not to lose the table and while there, she ll figure out what to say to get him to meet her there without ruining the surprise.
But she was about to be surprised!
When she got to the restaurant, there was her boyfriend, sitting on the table in the exact corner she had booked with another girl!!
Eyes locked with the girl, he was so engrossed in the conversation ( he seemed like he was about to propose !!)
that he did not notice my friend standing right beside him until she called out his name “IJ”!
He turned and the shock on his face was a sight to behold!
Now, what would YOU DO in the circumstance if
A, you are my friend
B, her boyfriend caught with another girl and
C, if you are the other girl?
Let me hear your thoughts in the comments section below.
