Ghanaians give hero’s welcome to Kofi Kingston

WWE champion Kofi Nahaje Sarkodie-Mensah popularly known as a Kofi Kingston is currently in town.

Kofi Kingston has finally touched base in Ghana after 25 years.

YEN.com.gh has sighted a photo of Kofi’s arrival as he was mobbed by some fans who were present at the Kotoka International Airport on Thursday morning, May 30, 2019.

He was greeted at the airport by the media and some family members.

The renowned wrestler took to his official twitter handle to announce his arrival.

The reigning WWE champion wrote, “We have arrived.”

Kofi’s historic visit to Ghana is between May 30 and June 2, 2019.

The four-day visit which starts from Thursday, May 30, through to Sunday, June 2, 2019, includes a courtesy call on the president of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, at the presidency.

He will then be at the Manhyia Palace to pay homage to the Asante monarch, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Kofi first won the WWE belt when he defied all odds to reign supreme over Daniel Bryan on March 7, 2019.

Kingston defended his WWE Championship in a triple threat match in the main event against two WWE Raw Superstars activating the “Wild Card” rule in Sami Zayn and AJ Styles, just one day removed from defeating Daniel Bryan on Raw.
