Bush family welcomes baby just days after Barbara Bush's death

The Bush family welcomed another child two days after former first lady Barbara Bush died.

Neil Bush, Barbara and George H.W. Bush’s fourth child, announced on Friday that he and his wife welcomed a grandson.

“The circle of life. God is good,” Bush wrote in a Facebook post honoring his mother and announcing the birth. He said he was able to spend “lots of time” with his parents in recent weeks.

Barbara Bush died Tuesday night at age 92. She had been hospitalized multiple times throughout the past year, and recently decided against seeking additional medical treatment.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday in Texas. Former Presidents Obama and Clinton are expected to attend, as are their wives.

First lady Melania Trump will attend, as well. President Trump will skip the event, though it is not uncommon for sitting presidents to miss the funerals of former first ladies.

Trump has spoken about Bush since her death, praising her devotion to her country and family
